Today we’re going to be talking about APA page sections, footnotes and headers. The first page section is the title page. Your title should be about 10-12 words. Next you’ll include your name, school name, professor’s name and due date of assignment. Here too you will also create your header that has your title in all caps and page numbers started.

The abstract comes next. This is a summary of the key points of your paper. Here folks can read to get the gist of your research and the main ideas/outcomes. It should not be more than 250 words and keywords are listed at the end of the abstract.

Next your complete the main body of your essay. You’ll begin with a running title and on the next line you would write an introduction and briefly hit upon main ideas. Each idea need be it own paragraph.

So as you write you are gonna give credit where credit is due. In text citations are a great way of referencing those sources. Think of it as what you do any time you include something in your paper that you didn’t know before you started researching. These can be numbered and listed at the bottom of each page or listed in order on a separate page.

Here is your list of thanks for all the help along the way. All those sources that helped you pull it all together go here alphabetized and double-spaced. Many resource savers like Mendeley will generate a reference list from your saved research along the way. Additionally, there are online citation makes like Easybib.com that make citing brilliantly easier.

So key points about your APA paper sections. You must include a title page, a short summary fo your paper called an abstract, your main body will be section and organized by ideas. In text citations will be used anytime you paraphrase or quote and the reference page lists any and all sources that you poured through to get it done.
