Pediatric immunizations are a controversial topic. It’s important that you know which immunizations are recommended at which stages of a child’s life. It is up to the parents and the pediatrician as to how closely they follow the recommended schedule.
This recommended schedule is ever changing and is put out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This is the most up to date schedule as of November 2017.
There is now a 5th recommended dose of the TDap, an extra 3 months in the range for the 3rd Polio vaccine, and a reminder that the HepA vaccine is a 2-dose series. To see the full recommended immunization schedule through age 18, go to www.cdc.gov/vaccines.
