So . . . I say this every year, but 2020 was *literally* an insane year.

• We started the year off in Dallas, TX and ended it in Portland, OR.
• We started the year off in-office and ended the year virtually.
• We started the year off as NRSNG and ended as nursing.com/

While these numbers are fun to look at, they don’t really show HOW we are growing, so let me dive in to some of the projects we’ve been working on.

nursing.com/

On January 14, 2020, we officially launched nursing.com/.  Changing our name from NRSNG.  This was a bitter sweet day as NRSNG was special . . . it’s where it all began and we had built a strong NRSNG family.  However, as we’ve now been nursing.com/ for a year, I can honestly say that I think we’ve kept that strong family vibe as the Nursing Family.

Why did we change our name?

A couple reasons:

• nursing.com/ is easier to share with your friends . . . now they don’t need to remember if it’s NRSNG or NSRNG or NRSGN or anything . . . it’s easy and we’re all about easy.
• It reflects the fact that we can help you throughout your entire nursing journey.
• As the leaders in “CHANGING NURSING EDUCATION” we feel like it’s important to be the hub for nursing.

I’m completely obsessed with the new logo and colors and I’m really excited to see where this journey goes!

COVID

Freaking covid . . .

This disrupted the entire year and many of our plans for courses and much more.  But more importantly, it disrupted YOUR life and education.  Because of this, we jumped in to help as much as we could.

In response to COVID, we donated over 54,000 free accounts to nursing schools and students impacted by the virus.

Aside from the free accounts, nursing.com/ has also provide 90+ pizzas to night shift nurses working through the crisis, opened up 198 free lessons on the site, raised $3,000 for the World Health Organization, and released the website HappyNursing.com as an outlet for nurses.

Much of our time during the first half of the year was spent responding to COVID and striving to help as many students as possible.

It is incredible to think of going through nursing school while trying to learn entirely online and being limited on clinical sites.

We’re so impressed with all the nursing students going through this and the strength they’ve shown.

Portland

We announced in the Fall of 2020 that we would be relocating the company to Portland, OR.  This was a hard decision for us – as Texas has been home for so long.  But as we looked out into the future of nursing.com/, we decided that Portland became an ideal location for our future growth.

Portland is, in fact, weird . . . but we love it and look forward to growing here.

The Future

The second half of the year has been about planning for our and your future with nursing.com/.  We realize we’ve only scratched the surface of our mission to END THE NURSING SHORTAGE and we have a long way to go.

We take courage in reading the incredible reviews from students like you and that keeps us going.

When it comes down to it . . . a mission so big can’t be done alone.  It take You + US or . . . YUS and we thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and contribution to the Nursing Family.

We are literally all in this together and we will continue to work to provide you clarity and confidence in your nursing journey.

Conclusion

When I started NRSNG way back in like 2015 . . . I had no idea HOW we would end the nursing shortage . . . but it is becoming more and more clear each year.  We have to do it together.  Thank you for being a part of this family and for joining along for the ride. I love you guys! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
